ENERO 20, 2010 RESOLUTION
RE: MARCELA ACUNA Marcela Acuna obtuvo el titulo vacante de la AMB el 12 de Agosto 2006. Defendio el titulo 5 veces, En Abril del 2009 pidio permiso para defender solamente el titulo del CMB y le fue otorgado. En Agosto del 2009 tendria que haber defendido el titulo contra Alicia Ashley pero debido a que no hubo acuerdo entre su promoter el Sr, Osvaldo Rivero, y los jueces designados por la AMB. Solo defendio el titulo CMB. Seguidamente se nos notifico que Acuna no iba a estar disponible por un tiempo considerable debido a problemas personales. En vista de esta situacion se decidio pornerla en recceso, dejar el tituloVacante y debido a su trayectoria y a que el motivo de no haber defendido el titulo AMB en Noviembre estaba fuera de su control se la nombro Campeona Honoraria, lo que significa que Marcela Acuna puede disputer el titulo AMB cuando lo crea conveniente. Al mismo tiempo se dejara VACANTE el Titulo Super Bantam
RESOLUTION
RE: MARCELA ACUNA
Background:
Marcela Acuna obtained the Title August 12 , 2006, since then she defended the title 5 times, the last defence was December 4, 2008. April 30, 2009 she requested a permit to defend only her WBC Title. A permit was granted under her promise to defend the WBA in her next fight. Marcela Acuna was scheduled to defend the WBA Title on August 20, 2009 against Alicia Ashley, we assigned the Officials for the fight. Mr. Osvaldo Rivero (Promoter) was not in agreement with the assigned officials therefore he canceled the WBA Title defense and opted to defend Marcela Acuna’s WBC title contrary to what the fight contract between Marcela Acuna and Alicia Ashley said. Shortly after that, Mr. Rivero notify the WBA that Marcela Acuna was going to be out of action for a while due to personal problems.
Resolution Considering that the reason for not defending in August were beyond Marcela Acuna’s control, and due to her trajectory and relationship with WBA. The committee arrived to the following conclusion:
To recognize Marcela Acuna as Honorary Champion. and to vacated the Super Bantamweight division. |
