KOs) will defend her impressive title collection against Sweden’s Mikaela Lauren (6-0, 1 KO) on October 30.

The duo will battle out a Scandinavian derby in Rostock, Germany, on the undercard of IBF Middleweight Champion Sebastian Sylvester’s title defense against Mahir Oral.

Lauren, a former famous Swedish swimmer, has conquered the rankings in a heartbeat and is currently listed as BoxRecs number two, second only to Braekhus. “This is going to be a tough fight,” Braekhus said. “Mikaela Lauren has been very successful in her short boxing career. She might not have the best boxing technique, but she certainly has a superb condition and a lot of power. I am prepared for a hard challenge and I will defend my titles.”

Added Team Sauerland sports director Hagen Doering: “This is going to be a spectacular encounter. In her last fight, Mikaela Lauren defeated Jill Emery, who was a strong opponent. Lauren is not BoxRec’s number two for nothing. I expect an interesting fight and another successful night for Cecilia.”

Braekhus became world champion in March 2009 when she defeated Denmark´s Vinni Skovgaard in a fight for the vacant WBA & WBC titles. After two successful defences, the “First Lady” added a third belt to her collection in May 2010 when she edged Victoria Cisneros for the vacant WBO Title in Herning, Denmark.
